Down at Glanllyn Bach, our lovely luxury cottage in Anglesey, North Wales, we’re always looking to show off the unique perks of living in such an outstandingly beautiful place. Our blog is the perfect place to do it, after all, and we always keep a camera close so we never miss a moment. With that in mind, today we thought we’d direct your attention upwards – to the sky! The skies down here in Anglesey are everchanging, with no two ever looking quite the same. Here’s what we mean…
Every morning that we step outside to really take in the coastal air, we’re greeted with a stunning sky that’s slowly growing brighter. The vast variety of cool blue hues, steadily mixing with the warmer colours of the rising sun, make for fantastic inspiration. Lisa instantly knew that every sky would bring a whole host of ideas for fused glass art designs. As an artist who has always specialised in the creation of beautiful skies and landscapes, even in the early days when she was mainly painting on canvas, she is absolutely loving the location that we’ve moved to.
For those readers who haven’t yet heard, we do in fact have a fully operational fused glass art workshop here on site, and we’re offering glassmaking courses for those interested in trying their hand at creating something unique and beautiful!
Up at the top of the blog, you can see a photo we snapped from one of the bedroom windows during a particularly striking evening. We have an extraordinarily clear view of the surrounding area, which leads to some absolutely amazing views when the sun disappears low behind the clouds. The sheer range of colours and contrast has to be seen to be believed!
