As we’re renovating and working away at every corner of the house, we often get a moment to look out of the windows at the stunning views around us. We get a fantastic view over both of our fields too, where we often spot these two seagulls. They’re becoming regular customers of ours, and it’s almost every day that we see them landing and spending a little time hanging around. They’re joined up as a pair, and we love to take some minutes away from the busy schedule of our business to watch them go about theirs. We may be a soon-to-be-opened bed and breakfast in Rhosneigr, but we never expected our first guests to look quite like this!

It’s not just these two seagulls that visit us, either. As you might imagine, living by the coast means that plenty of seagulls are often spotted in the skies overhead. Our location is a recognised area of outstanding natural beauty, and the huge variety of wildlife is no small part of that.

We regularly see gigantic flocks of starlings, which are an absolutely stunning sight to behold as they move around in seemingly impossibly co-ordinated clouds.
And just the other day, we spotted this beautiful young buzzard taking a moment’s rest at the far end of our field. We often see them diving and swooping by on the wind, but this was the first time we got the chance to take such a clear photo!
