Work continues on Glanllyn Bach, our new Anglesey bed and breakfast and fused glass art showroom. We have a big update for you today, as we’re focusing our attention on decorating the area around the showroom – prettying it all up, so to speak! The completion of the first planter for our evergreen hedge row marks what we’re calling phase one of the exterior renovation process.
They might look small now, but these plants are Griselinia and are expected to reach a whopping two metres tall before they’re done fully growing.
We had to get them out of their pots before they outgrew them completely, and plant them just in time for growing season. That meant that we’d have to build this entire planter and get the soil loaded in, which was quite a job! We chose this specific type of hedge due to to its hardiness, which should be perfect for withstanding the often tumultuous weather of the Anglesey coastline, and as previously mentioned it’s a plant which stays green all year round.

The windows have finally been fitted to the showroom itself, as you can see in the image heading the blog. The double doors have been installed, too, sealing the structure in away from the elements.
It’s fantastic to see things quickly progress outside after making so much ground on the interior renovation work, which we can’t wait to show you. Things are really starting to shape up quickly and we couldn’t be happier about it
Glanllyn Bach is a brand new Anglesey bed and breakfast that’s planning to open some time in early Summer, sitting in an ideal location just outside the beautiful seaside village of Rhosneigr. We hope that the world will calm down soon and we’ll be able to bring guests to stay at our newly renovated luxury guest house in a way that’s completely safe and sensible. In the meantime, we’ll keep our fingers crossed and our heads down. There’s definitely much more to do! We’ll keep you posted on the journey here on our blog and on our social media, and you can find links to those on our contact page. Feel free to follow us!
