Living here at our Anglesey bed and breakfast brings new delights week in and week out. We’ve talked about the ever-changing sky overhead, but we’ve particularly been loving what happens to the sky right before it darkens completely.
At the end of every day, we’re always greeted by a spectacular sight. The evenings grow dark quickly, and the temperature soon drops as the warmth from the sun fades and the coastal wind rolls in, but we’re always excited to watch the sunset as closely as we can. Our upper floor windows give us a great vantage point, after all.
The photo at the top of this blog should help you get a sense of what we mean.
We love how the setting sun mixes with the clouds in the distance, creating stunning views as the warm light breaks through and diffuses behind the various layers. The natural contrast has to be seen to be believed. The mountains standing tall against the sunset create unmissable silhouettes, defining so much of the horizon and the view that we had to name one of our suites after them. It’s impossible for any sky to seem anything less than dramatic when you add them into the mix!

As a brand new Anglesey bed and breakfast sitting just outside the seaside village of Rhosneigr, Glanllyn Bach is looking forward to a grand opening in early Summer. Whenever it becomes completely safe to travel and lodge again, we have our fingers crossed that we’ll be able to bring guests along to see these amazing sunset views as well. If you have any questions for our friendly team, you can get in touch any time you like and we’ll always take some time to let you know what you can expect to find when we open.
