Down here at Glanllyn Bach, we always keep a camera handy. There are always sights to be seen, but when we’re out walking our black labrador out on the beaches nearby we never ever want to miss the chance to get a picture of a good sky. We have an extrordinarily clear view of the surrounding area from our luxury bed & breakfast, as well, especially with regards to the many beautiful skies that can be glimpsed so often on Anglesey. There are some incredible sights to be seen when the sun disappears low behind the clouds – the sheer range of colours and contrast has to be seen to be believed!
Have a look at the picture above, which is the latest scene that we managed to capture at sunset. Believe us when we say we didn’t filter the colours at all – there really were an intense range of warm tones, from orange at the horizon all the way to a diffused purple scattering across the clouds.
It makes for tremendous inspiration for pieces of glass art, but we’re sure that just about anyone can appreciate the natural beauty on display. For those readers who haven’t yet heard, we do in fact have a fully operational fused glass art workshop here on site, and we’re offering glassmaking courses for those interested in trying their hand at creating something unique and beautiful!
There’s no reason you couldn’t come down to see these very skies in person by making a tranquil escape to the shores of Anglesey, especially with our luxury bed & breakfast opening its doors to guests in March this year. If you’re looking for accomodation on the island that’s as charming and traditional as it is modern and luxurious, Glanllyn Bach is perfect for you.
